Every child in Boston should attend a quality school. In the spring of 2012, the city began a process to reform how our students are assigned to schools. That process is coming to an end, but the Boston Public Schools' administration has given us five options that fail to solve the true problems in our city’s schools.
On October 3rd, a group of six elected leaders stepped forward with an alternative plan: The Quality Choice Plan. This coalition recognizes that real reform has to confront quality head-on, and give parents both choice and predictability. Whether your child attends a quality school close to home, or a quality school across the city – every school should be a quality school.
This is the Quality Choice Plan.
